You Got This!

Oh hello and welcome to Sugar Bean Cards today. I have a lot to show you so buckle down, grab some coffee, scroll around, and enjoy! Don't forget, I am giving away a BRAND NEW Teresa Collins Mega Runner by Xyron® from Xyron to U.S.A. participants. The contest rules are on my Sugar Bean Cards Facebook fanpage found here. Winner will be announced on the SBC Facebook fanpage on Monday October 22nd, 2018.
Okay let's get into the fun stuff! Teresa Collins has put out this new 'Mon Cheri' stack and I just felt that a triple fold album was in order to showcase this wonderful double sided paper.
To begin with, I designed the album in Silhouette Studio-Designer Edition. I title each 'set' according to the paper that I wanted to use for each section.
Just to keep myself a bit more organized since I was cutting all elements out before assembly, I also wrote sticky notes on each page to match the sets above.
Once everything was cut out, it was time to play.
I happen to have some flower stamps from Close to My Heart's 'Springtime Wishes' set that looked similar to the flowers found in this paper set. I used this stamp set to heat emboss details onto pockets.
I also used the heat embossing to add detail to any solid sheet of color throughout the book.
I used some Teresa Collins Passion Pink Pigment Ink to stamp light flower details on the tags that can be used for writing messages or memories on.
Next I grabbed my Teresa Collins Mega Runner by Xyron® to adhere the detail pieces to the base pieces. This is my absolute favorite mega runner. I have had no issues with it and it is a smooth runner.
Next I took some black fasteners from Teresa Collins Essentials line to adhere five flip pages.
I grabbed some AC ribbon, punched two holes in each ribbon length and adhere to the outer shell holes with two black Teresa Collins fasteners.
The front and inside covers are complete and ready for all the new little pockets and hidden areas to store sentiments.
For the cover I decided to do some vellum flowers. I colored a few using the same  Teresa Collins Passion Pink Pigment Ink before curling the pedals with my Netlab quilling tools.
For the smaller pieces, I decided to use my Xyron Creative Station® to get all the adhesive on the backs to save me some time.
At the last moment I decided to use this ballerina cutout from the paper set. I didn't want to run the small cut through my Xyron Creative Station®, effectively wasting a lot of adhesive. So I grabbed my 1.5" Sticker Maker and ran it through!
For the final details, I had to figure out where I wanted things to go. I decided to use the white paper clips for the ballerina shapes I cut out and sprinkled some Teresa Collins WANDERlust sequins on the cover and inside the album.
 Final Project:

I put in three dividers where momentos can be kept and labeled.

The inside page has three pocket folders to hold photos, tickets, or other momentos.
The middle page has 5 flip tabs to hold notes or photos.
As well as a pop out z-fold section that has the embossed folders to hold the white tags for written notes.
The last page holds a journal to keep track of progress or important events

As well as three more pockets to hold memories.

Knock, Knock, Knocking...

Hello all. Today I have my latest SVG Attic project!

This was one of those projects that I started off with something else in my head and it quickly turned into something different and better than the original idea.
I embossed the "wood" slats with the Sizzix Big Shot and a We're Memory Keepers wood embossing folder.
Then I dry brushed some white ink onto the slats to give it the aged look. And added some vellum roses inked with purple and black ink.
Next I popped in some purple LED lights into the roses and called it good!

Materials Used:

  • Die Cut Machine
    • Silhouette Cameo 3
    • Silhouette Studio-Designer Edition
  • Adhesive
    • Aleene's Original Tacky Glue

Multiple Occasion Card Set

This week, the Xyron Design Team has teamed up with Clearsnap. I decided to go with three new ColorBox® Full Size Pigment Ink by Teresa Collins:
  • Feisty Red
  • Passion Pink
  • Glam Green

I also grabbed a bottle of the ColorBox® Pearl Rain Spray which I will use at a later time.

I matched the inks as best as I could to some paper I have lying around.
This is one of those projects that started out as something else in my head and turned into a whole different thing that I ended up loving even more than the original thought!
Once I got all of my pieces cut, I took an old text stamp to add text to the bottom of each piece of white cardstock.
Then I started on the top portion with a flower stamp.
I have a spare sheet of paper covering the bottom of the cardstock as I didn't want the flower stamp to bleed into the text stamp.
Just a little tip, I didn't like how my original tag for this card was placed. Instead of having to start all over again to line up the stamp with the tag again, I simply cut a new tag, placed a clear sheet of vellum over the bottom white (already stamped) cardstock and lined up the stamp onto the new tag. Worked like a charm!
 Smooth sailing from there.
I liked the combination of the three colors on the bottom of my spare sheet of paper that was protecting the bottom text so I decided to combine all three into one card and LOVED the outcome.
Once I got my sentiments stamped onto the tags, I ran each piece through the Xyron Creative Station®.

Wishing you a Speedy Recovery

Recently a friend's young son had to have a surgical procedure done. I decided to make a quick card that plays off of their special attachment to the yellow VW Bug.
To start, I found the base card inspiration from DCWV Inc.'s scrap-a-holic monthly challenge sketch on their Facebook page.
I pulled out an old stack, the Lemon Flower Stack, that fit my color scheme well with yellows, grays, and blacks in it.
After cutting the bug out in some Grapefruit Bliss by Bazzill Basic Papers, I ran some distressed ink sloppily around the car edges.
Once everything was cut, it was time to assemble and detail.
I love to add some sort of movement to my cards usually. This 'Push Here' stamp set by Lawn Fawn is perfect for helping direct how my cards work.
I ran all of my main pieces through the Xyron Creative Station® for quick cohesive adhesion.
So, I have become so spoiled by DCWV's double sided stacks that when I pull out one of my old single sided stacks, I feel like I need to decorate the inside of the card now. So I simply ran my Xyron Mega Runner®  on two sheets of 5" x 7" cardstock and adhered them to the inside of the card.

Final Project:

Lies flat for shipping

I used the 'pop up' function in Silhouette Studios to pop the bug out there when opened.
