Flip Flops = Summer

Well not in my world. In my world, I wear flip flops year round. Rain, snow, ice, shine, etc. So when I saw this little Scrap Factory cutie from Scrappy Dew's freebie Friday file, I had to do something with her!

You can find this file on Scrappy Dew's site in the Scrap Factory Closet

I used this flip card file to bring a little bit of working elements to the card.
For her toes, I wanted them to look painted so I grabbed a sharpie and did a quick outline on the top.
Thinking of the sun and summer, I think of flip flops, beach umbrellas, and beach bags!

Floral Topiary

Hello all I am sharing a floral topiary pot from SVG Attic. Now I added more flowers and greenery to mine, just to showcase a small example of what can become of this wonderful set coming soon.

There are a lot of new sets coming out so keep checking on SVG Attic's website. However, I couldn't wait for this one to come out in a set so I grabbed the 3D Flower Ball and Topiary Pot from the Silhouette store and got to work! I decided to go the full topiary route instead of just doing the 3D flower ball, because well I've done plenty of flower balls this year already!

One of the things I really enjoyed about this project was the ability to make each flower different by using a different sheet of cardstock.
With all the paper from one stack, they all match.
I just happened to have some gold brads on hand to help with the pop of texture.
For the bottom of the pot, I made smaller flower buds and added some green leaves and ivy.

The construction of the flower buds are actually rather simple. There are a lot though so plan ahead for some time to make this project!

My First Trike

I remember my first bike, but not my trike. Therefore I decided to scrapbook my son's for his memories for years to come.
Tricycle, My First Trike
When I found the 'My First Trike' file from Scrappy Dew, I was excited that I didn't have to piece different files together to make what I needed!

I always do double 12 x 12 layouts so they all match.
I probably stick to that forum more so because I take a lot of pictures...just don't tell the husband I agree with him!
The title for my layouts always go on the first page and caption on the second page.

I know people say cursive is a dead form of reading. I really hope that doesn't become the case, otherwise no one will know how to read the captions in his scrapbook!!!
This little boy is just the cutest!

Rockin' Birthday

This project has been on my to-do list ever since the CG Fabulous 50s set came out from SVG Attic!
CG Fabulous 50s
Today I bring you a retro rocking birthday set I made for a family members birthday. During the cutting process, I decided to give the records a little flair. To do this, I added extra internal circles for each record and then used my eraser tool to take out the excess rings to shape the highlights of the records. *Silhouette studios and pen attachment tool used*
