The loss of a child is something no one is ever prepared for. A few weeks back, a news report popped up on my personal Facebook page. The odd part of this story is I don't follow the news going on on the other side of our state, but for whatever reason this story popped up. It piqued my interest.
I opened the story and read that a car was stolen. Yeah everyday occurrence. However, this one was a bit different. The thieves scraped off the back decal and emptied the car out which held non replaceable memorabilia of baby Isaac.
Immediately, I knew what I needed to do. One mother to another, I felt for this family. I volunteered to make them a replacement decal for free.
While many people see cards on this page, my favorite thing to work with is vinyl. I have done many decals for indoors and out. Knowing that I can offer my services, it was just a given to give this family anything they requested.
I offered to do anything; original footprints, a profile of their child, any wording, color, and so on. They requested two 12" long decals that will hold a powerful memory for them.
After finding out a bit more about baby Isaac, I wanted to make a personalized card as well.

I started with a fairly popular memorial piece of a feather with birds flying away.
The wings, clouds, and halo are cut from sparkled paper to bring a bit of bling. I added some highlights to the clouds via Craftwell's eBrush so the clouds were not washed out.
Update to this story! It's amazing how many wonderful people are still walking among us!
