Stage Card

The 'stage card' reminds me of the easel or step card. A fellow crafter was wondering if anyone had a file similar to the stage card dies found from Tattered Lace Die's, which is based in the UK so it may not be accessible to all.

I decided to see if I could put something together to help fellow crafters with this design. With that being said, this is a SUPER EASY card to make!

Supplies needed: 

Die cutting machine that accepts SVG files

'Stage Card' file 

Cardstock

Glue

Running Tape

Accessories

Step One: Download the 'Stage Card' file

Please keep in mind, this file was designed and saved from the Silhouette Studio Designers Edition and may not work with all other die cutting machines. 

Step Two: Cut out shapes

I did not add my accent pieces (cactus's/flowers) to the downloadable file. I bought the cactus files from the Silhouette store and do not have the rights to give their files away! However, with that said, pick whatever pieces you want to add to your 'stage' and just remember to weld a little tab at the bottom for step

Step Three: Assemble the face

I like to adhere my panels on any project before bending and shaping. On a different note, how great is this new double sided paper from DCWV?! I just love it. 

Step Four: Create a Stage

For the stage area, fold at the perforated line inwards.

Once bent inwards, this is what it should look like

Next, bend the end tab to the flap downwards

Flip the card back over to the front and fold remaining two perforated lines

 This is what you should see when folding everything correctly.

 ******NOTE******

The back flap to the stage is NOT secured down. DO NOT APPLY ADHESIVE TO THIS FLAP if you plan on lying the card flat for mailing. 

 No glue on the back tab

Step Five: Decorate Stage

For this step, you really can use just about any file for the stage area. 

Sugar Tip: Just note, that you need to keep in mind if you are mailing it, the size of your pieces to make sure they fit in the envelope when complete. 

At the bottom of each cactus, I welded a small rectangle to be able to slip into the slit and glued them the opposite way of the cactus so they stood up when flipped back over. 

 This is flat. Now if you make the decorations too large and they will not fit into the envelope, you can bend them downwards for mailing.

When stood up, this is the stage!
