For my card, I grabbed the Heart Tree file from Miss Kate Cuttables (also found in the Silhouette Design Store) to start my design.
I knew that this Heart Tree would fill the heart, kraft, and die cut portion of the challenge.
I wanted texture to my tree so I grabbed a We R Memory Keeper embossing folder and my Sizzix Big Shot to emboss the tree. (I also embossed clouds to the white background, not shown)
Next, I wanted to use some embossing powder to do the sentiment on both the outside of the card as well as the inside.
The copper Recollections embossing powder just might be my new favorite powder!
Once the pieces were all cut, I got to assemble and customize with a few tweeks to the die pieces.
I cut the hearts through the card face and use vellum to incase the hearts.
Final Product:
To fulfill the ribbon part of the challenge, I removed the paper "string and bow" of the hearts and added in some Recollections Valentine's Day twine.I figure the embossing powder, tree, and clouds could count as my free space.
Throw some sequins around the sentiment to bling it up.
And emboss the inside to complete this card challenge!
