Teacher Appreciation

Every year I try to do a little something for each teacher. This year I'm going out with a bang. Both kids are transferring to a different school next year so this is their chance to really thank the teachers that have been influential to them this year.

I decided to do some glass blocks with cards for the teachers. They can either keep them in the classroom or take them home!

To start with, I washed each block (blocks purchased from Hobby Lobby) to make sure there was no extra dust or particles on it.
I grabbed a can of Rust-Oleum Frosted Glass spray (found at any craft/hardware store)
Each block got 3 layers of spray
After letting each block dry (dries very quickly) and set for a day, I set out to apply the vinyl phrases to each block.
The only reason why I let them set for a day was because I didn't want the transfer tape to take up any of the frosted portion of the blocks. All four blocks transferred like butter on a hot roll with no issues!
After I got the blocks done, I grabbed some ribbon to make bows. I have or at least I had, not sure where it went to, a fancy bow maker. But I find it easier to grab sticks, tape, and the edge of my desk to shape my bows. One less trinket to store around here!

Each block has to have a card right!
