Rainbow Trout Birthday Card

Yesterday was my father-in-laws birthday. While thinking up of cards to make him, I came across Die Cuttin' Diva's weekly challenge. Which just happen to give me the perfect inspiration for this card!

Masculine cards can be difficult to navigate. But given the right inspiration, paper, and motivation anything is possible. I chose the limited edition Out in the Wild stack by DCWV for this card. It has great masculine prints in it from camping, hunting, and fishing, to overall outdoor prints. 

Once I got all of my pieces cut out, I grabbed my Teresa Collins Mega Runner by Xyron® for quick assembly.

Final Project:

I wanted a small portion of the fish to be covered so it appears to be jumping out at the recipient.

Thankfully I stole some of my husbands fishing gear so I had a ready made accessory for this card! A little sharp and pointy, but perfect for the theme.
